I have written some Meditations for Lent<\/em> which are free for anyone to use.<\/p>\n

Questions to ask yourself during Lent<\/h4>\n

Lent is the season in which to retire as much as possible from distractions of the world in order to take a serious view of the whole state of our inner life, which is to say, to take time to examine what and who we are in this life. To ask ourselves: Are we pleasing to ourselves? Are we pleasing to others? Are we pleasing to God?<\/p>\n

A time to wonder if that good man, that wonderful teacher Jesus, appeared today to us, would the kingdom within us, our very soul, actually be a place in which his spirit would wish to reside?<\/p>\n

Lent is a good time to discover how do you stand in relation to God? To your neighbours? To yourself? To ask yourself what exactly stays hidden within you that you know only too well is displeasing to you, those you love, and to God? Is it disguised by some pretext of good or wrapped up comfortably under the robe of your self-love?<\/p>\n

These are the Lenten days set aside to deepen a true knowledge of ourselves, to apply a proper remedy to all our unwanted passions and vices, and to lay a solid foundation of a good life for the future.<\/p>\n

Who can benefit from the Meditations for Lent<\/em>?<\/h4>\n

While these meditations are in the Roman Catholic tradition, they all arise from Holy Scripture and the wisdom of the Church Fathers and celebrated holy men and women. In this way they should be suitable for any Christian or for anyone who yearns to move closer to the universal truth and force of life, which is God. Here is found that simple, yet eternal, discovery: all life is one.<\/p>\n

I hope you will read and contemplate on these meditations. They were written for everyone, because everyone has a soul and a spirit, and everyone yearns for meaning and, most often, that greater meaning to life is to be found in the oneness that is God and for millions of people the path to that understanding arises from knowing Jesus and what he taught about the values which bring a happy life.<\/p>\n
